This blog is under some reorganization. I bet you’re here because you’re one of my betas or other friends to whom I’ve given the site password, and you’re wondering where everything is.

Don’t worry! It’s not gone, it’s just moved.

The new site for you guys to read draft work is betas.jadeglen.com.

The old password will still work! In fact, I’m hoping it’ll work better now and fix the weird caching glitch that wasn’t letting people in before. The new site uses a plugin that protects the whole site rather than individual posts. There are also a couple other minor organizational and visual improvements (sidebar easier to read, different categories, things like that). Nothing huge!

The site you’re looking at right now will become a public-facing writer site instead. I’m planning to post some extras here, things that aren’t part of my actual drafts.

For example, I’ve been reading more middle grade novels since that’s the (genre? audience?) I’ve been writing lately, and it might be fun to post about those and keep track of them that way ^^

I’m also planning a (probably less frequent?) series called Search History, which will update whenever I’m doing a bit of research that people might find funny or interesting. The Green Goliath is just packed with those, so when I finish Melody Moss and go back to drafting GG before I start MMPC’s revisions, I’ll probably have a bunch to share.

(Sneak peek: GG features the fact that trash almost stops decomposing in landfills because of all the layers of plastic; there’s a whole sidebar on how toasters work; it features invasive plants really heavily; and of course there’s the TREBUCHET in the middle of everything!)

I’ll probably intersperse these with more garden-variety blog posts, pictures of my cat and/or houseplants, that kind of thing.

It’s hard to say yet how often this blog will update! Once a week would be nice, maybe. I tend to be bad at keeping up a consistent social media presence for my projects, I get too sucked into working on them to tell anybody about them–whoops.

If I know you and you want the password to the betas section, just ask through whatever platform we usually talk on. If I don’t know you–sorry! I avoid posting draft work publicly, so you’ll have to settle for the other stuff I’m planning until I get everything polished up and published ^^
